  • Ancient feels, but food items from their catering service are all delicious. Events place at the second floor has an old ambience but I think they offer affordable packages. Clean restrooms.

  • Overall Four Stars: 5 Star for the "Intramuros" ambiance, decor, appointments. Incredible attention to details. 3 Star for the food. Good. Cab be better. Service was great! Follow up by servers was noteworthy. They were trained well by the owner who manages the restaurant herself. Kudos!!!

  • Cafe Kapitan will bring you back in early 1800s. If you like Spanish era's establishments, this is the best place for you. I did some shoot with my #trekfarley 27.5 Fatbike.

  • One of the more known place to dine and visit when you're in Marikina. I'm totally awed with the history of place. The owner who operates the restaurant graciously shared us the historical significance of the place. Inside the restaurant, the well that has been included in the original house still exists. The place is full of memorabilia from the original owners of the house. This place is where the shoe industry of Marikina was born. The place has several function rooms that can be booked for events. This is a popular place for the locals of Marikina for meetings, etc.

  • Pros 1. Really nice place. Very historical and even the furnishings were selected to give the Spanish era vibe. 2. Fantastic service Cons 1. Food is quite average tasting. Not bad by any means, but can be improved. 2. Limited options for food. Still one of thr best place to dine in d area but I wish they could work a bit more on their food.

  • Felt like a tourist even if lived only a few kilometers away. Loved the history and ambience. Food was good but can be improved to taste more like authentic Spanish cuisine, unless of course the goal is to serve “Filipinized” Spanish food. Service was above par.

  • We had our son's birthday and baptism celebration at Cafe Kapitan for an intimate and exclusive invite. We chose our set menu from their packages and reserved it for 50pax. The Cafe is suitable for the head count and also allowed us to do a simple set up for our loots and giveaways,we also did a welcome sign arrangement at its entrance. The food is all served well and the tastes are good, please do not expect it to be extravagant, the food and set up are definitely decent. Great for small family events. Parking though was quite limited, mostly our guests had their vehicles parked at the church which is just across the Cafe.
